For those who are seasoned parents, we have many preferences when it comes to how we care for and dress our newborns. Some people like to dress up Baby in elaborate five piece outfits and others barely dress him at all. At our house, we are admittedly more the latter. Right from the get-go with child number one, I hated baby pants. Especially for the newborn phase. Newborns need a diaper change about every 15 minutes or so it seems. And the little snaps on onesies and struggling those pants on and off makes the whole process take three times longer.
With each and every baby, I turn to the baby gowns. Those one piece gowns that are like a long sleeved onesie, but with an elastic ‘skirt’ at the bottom instead of separate legs? Perfection. Of course, if you live in the North and need to go out in Winter, you will have to succumb to putting something on his legs. But for our time at home, I go for the gown.
There are so many more cute gowns for boys out now than there were when I had my first son.
