In my younger years, I horribly neglected my skin. Chalk it up to naive youth and that feeling you are invincible and will never grow old. The years are catching up to me, especially since my most recent child was born.  While researching skin care lines, it has become apparent not every brand takes quality or safety into consideration. Sulfates, phthalates,  and parabens, oh my! Which is why I love finding more natural brands that keep our health and environment in mind. One such brand I am really happy with is Pretty Mommies.
Pretty Mommies was designed to provide effective skincare with three simple products made from safe and natural ingredients. Due to its safe and toxin free ingredients, it is the number one recommended maternity skin care line for expecting mamas.

Pretty Mommies may have been made with intention of offering safe products for pregnant and nursing moms, but it is a great line for all women! I like that the full kit is only three steps. Confusing and complicated skin care is just not necessary.

The first step in the Pretty Mommies process is cleansing with their gentle wash called Let’s Be Clear.

Let’s Be Clear cleans your skin with effective power without being drying. It gently removes oil and dirt to help your skin fight blemishes without harsh chemicals. I like that Let’s Be Clear can remove makeup, even the dried, crusty stuff from the night before, but it does not give my face that tight, dry feeling. The smell is nice too. The third, and last, step in the Pretty Mommies process is Protect & Reflect.

Protect & Reflect does just that. It reflects harmful UVA and UVB rays away to protect your skin from harm. Reflect & Protect uses non-nano zinc oxide so you can rest your mind knowing it is safe for your skin and for everyone in the family. Reflect & Protect goes on clear, unlike many other non-nano zinc oxide bases, so you can apply it right before applying makeup. Instead of a big greasy film, you have a light layer of strong protection. This step is probably the most important for me. I generally hate using sunscreen and neglect to put it on, unless it is part of a morning routine. Having it as the last step in the Pretty Mommies routine certainly makes it likely to happen. Overall, I love how simplicity of  the Pretty mommies system as well as the ingredient list. The fact that it feels great on your skin and works is a win-win. You can purchase the items individually at Pretty Mommies and select clinics, or save money on a three part kit for $119. I have plenty of little jars of skin creams in my bathroom and I find the price of the Pretty Mommies kit to be fairly decent. The ingredients and quality of the products are just not something you find in your local drugstore.
