That time of year is quickly approaching. Maybe it fills you with joy or dread, but one thing is for sure, it is never easy! Yes, that’s right, the season of traveling in order to celebrate the holiday season with loved ones. Whether by car or plane, near or far, traveling with a baby is always an interesting and often times harrowing experience.
Welcome to the Travelin’ With Baby Giveaway Hop Event, hosted by So Easy Being Green and According to Jenny! This Event will run from October 10th – 24th with a Twitter Party Grand Finale on October 25th from 9-10 PM EST! Each blogger has a great prize, worth at least $25, to make traveling with your baby easy and fun! Don’t miss out on the fabulous TWO Grand Prizes worth over $550 EACH – featuring the best, must-have Baby Travel Products – including a Britax Car Seat, QuickSmart Backpack Stroller, Beco Baby Carrier and MUCH more!
I actually do not plan on going far this year since much of our family only lives an hour or two away. However, that does not mean sitting in my cozy living room and avoiding the world this holiday season. There are gifts to buy, cookies to bake, and events to attend! Living in the land of 10,000 malls (or is it lakes?) I will be dealing with my fair share of crowds and rushing. One thing that is essential for crowded shopping with two kids is a way to transport them. Have your ever tried pushing a double stroller through the Mall of America near Christmas, or through the airport on Thanksgiving, or even Ikea any day? It is nearly impossible. A great baby carrier is a must!
Just Add Cloth is giving away an awesome Baby K’Tan Baby Carrier in the winner’s choice of size and color. Baby K’Tan is like a wrap without the wrapping! it is easily the simplest and most versatile carrier I have used and I absolutely love it.

can’t wait to try the k’tan!
it would make traveling with baby so much easier
I always bring my baby’s favorite doll.
My tip for traveling with baby is to take more diapers than you think you need, plus a change of clothes in case baby gets too dirty.
always have teething medicine, nasal aspirator and saline spray and carry baby as much as you can with baby carrier esp ergobaby
Check the diaper bag before you leave to make sure it is stocked!
i always had a carrier, toys & extra cloth diapers with me!
Bring extra diapers, wet wipes, and clothes
Never leave home without your nursing cover! And to help out with that – my solution has been to store one in the car and one in my purse so that at least one will be with me at all times when I am away from home!
When traveling with baby, don’t forget the boo bunny ice packs and tylenol!!
Well the only tip i have is to have a pacifier with you.. It always worked wonders for me.

I haven’t had to do any traveling, but I’ve heard to try to travel when baby is sleeping. But if you must travel while they’re awake to bring one new toy for each hour in the car/plane/etc.
Bring at least one new toy per hour of car/plane/train/etc travel time to keep baby occupied. Try to leave when baby is sleeping!
I love the Baby K’Tan because there is very little wrapping involved! It’s so convenient!
Take time to relax because when you are having fun the little ones will be relaxed.
My best tip for traveling with a baby is, if you’re going on a long trip, try to time it to when your baby naps/sleeps. We once made an 8 hour trip to visit family and we made the drive at night so both our kids slept the entire way!
If you plan for the unexpected, you’ll always be prepared.
I always travel with a carrier and extra patience.
Have a checklist for all the items you want to bring and go through it before leaving.
We used to travel at night when the kids were more likely to sleep… it made for some killer travel lag tho’. lol.
When my girls were small we didn’t really have carriers and things like that {you should google the images of the carseats! lol} but I would think that would make traveling tons easier.
We didn’t travel much but if I’d have nursed that would have made going anywhere just easier! {my daughter, who is smarter than I was, is nursing and is realizing this}
Thanks for the giveaway.

This is already on my registry! It would be great to win one so hubby gets one in his size as well
Take two of everything. Just kidding. sorta.

Always take more food than you think they will eat and diversions (games, toys, etc.)
My biggest tip is to give yourself plenty of time. If you’re running late or short on time it will only stress everyone out.
don’t overplan. take it slow
My travel tip is to bring lots of toys, books, sippys, and snacks. Distraction is key to avoiding meltdowns!
Always make sure that there are plenty of diapers/wipes in the bag before you leave the house.. and keep extras in the car for those oops moments:)
Buy those arm and hammer garbage bags for dirty diapers but also cloths that may have gotten pooped or spit up on so they don’t stink up your bag
When traveling with a baby I’d recommend having an extra change of clothes (for you and baby), just in case! ; )
looks comfy!
Always travel with a well stocked diaper bag.
Make doing cloth diaper laundry so much easier.
Make sure to have extra diapers and clothes!
My biggest tip is to be super organized before leaving and to have lots of patience!

I make sure I have extra pacifiers.
having snacks and a new toy or two on hand
Bring extra wipes. They are good for everything!
Stock up on quick snacks and soft music!
SNACKS! Lots of snacks!
I like how many different ways you can wear it
The most obvious “traveling with baby” tip is one often forgotten….always expect the unexpected.
I always feed DD just a bit before we leave. Helps her settle down and go to sleep in the car for long rides.
Have a checklist of what needs to be packed. Don’t rush and do everything last minute and get a good nights rest.
