Using cloth wipes with your cloth diapers just makes sense.
Incredibum is a cloth diaper and accessories brand that hit the market Fall 2011. Their products include cloth diapers, wipes, wet bags, and inserts. Their new cloth diapers are one size and have snap-in bamboo inserts.
Incredibum sent me a few of their Bum-boo Incrediwipes cloth wipes to try out.
These wipes are made of 90% bamboo and 10% polyester. Bamboo contains antibacterial properties that make it a great fabric for wipes. The wipes are a pristine white and measure approximately 9″x9″ after laundering.
The first thing I noticed about these wipes is how soft they feel. They have a silky quality to them and are incredibly soft. Most of my cloth wipes are in the 7 in. by 7 in. range, so the 9×9 size feels very generous.  I can clean up a significant diaper mess with just one wipe! I generally use an old disposable wipes box to contain cloth wipes dampened with a solution. The Incredibum wipes are a little big, so I fold in the edges a bit. After a couple washes, they were nice and absorbent, plus they don’t discolor from my wipe solution.
Most bamboo fabric can harden up from repeated washing and tumble drying, so it is nice that these have just a little polyester in them to retain their soft texture. My toddler snatched one to use as a lovey during nap time since he loves anything soft and silky against his face. Obviously, the Incredibum wipes also make great wash cloths for bath time and for grimy hands and faces. The texture is very gentle on delicate skin.
Incredibum wipes have become my husband’s favorite because of their size. He was very dubious about my claims they could clean up the whole mess with one wipe. The wipes cured his skepticism!
Wipes Cleaning instructions: Warm Machine Wash and line or tumble dry low. No fabric softener, no bleach, and please limit barrier creams that are not cloth diaper friendly.
